Laura sustained a C7 Spinal Cord Injury on April 17, 2019 while mountain biking on some local San Diego biking trails.  She currently resides in San Diego where she continues to work hard daily with physical therapy to regain all physical moment allowing her to regain independence and achieve her goals of getting back to working with cancer research and participating in athletics.  In-home therapy has helped her with being able to stand for longer periods of time, overall strength, endurance and increased muscle movement.
